Tennis, anyone? But of course. How about some ladies' tennis played on a stage the whole world will have its eyes on? Coming right up -- furthermore, coming to our doorstep here in St. Louis. Chaifetz Arena (1 South Compton Avenue; 314-977-5000 or www.thechaifetzarena.com) hosts the 2014 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Playoff between the U.S. and France. Sloane Stephens (pictured), who made it to the semifinals of the 2013 Australian Open, leads the U.S. team against a very capable French squad captained by Amelie Mauresmo. This is a best-of-five-match series, the winner of which will advance to the 2015 World Group and get a chance to scrap for the Fed Cup title next year. Matches commence at 3 p.m. Saturday and at 12:30 p.m. Sunday (April 19 and 20). Tickets are $40 to $95 for a single-day basis or $70 to $175 for an inclusive two-day package.
