When San Diego's Crocodiles first emerged a few years ago, it ditched the hardcore inflections of its former bands, The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower and Some Girls, for a moodier, darker approach. The duo has since gradually toned down the Psychocandy fuzz without sacrificing its original gritty, buzzy charm. On its second album, 2010's Sleep Forever
, tracks such as Mirrors and Stoned to Death fall somewhere between Echo & The Bunnymen's mysterious drones and the early '90s shoegaze school. For this show, Crocodiles' first following a European tour, it will be joined by Bay Area reverb 'n noise merchants the Fresh & Onlys.
