The Professional Inline Hockey Association-Gateway Division kicked off its second season in December, and you still haven't checked out the sport! Shame on you! You have no excuse now that the holidays are over, so pack up the family and head to the Matteson Square Garden Tri-Plex (3051 Industrial Park Place West, St. Peters; 636-240-7177) for three exciting games between the Midwest Tornados and the St. Louis Cobras — for a mere $5 admission price (kids eight and younger are admitted for free). The minor pro game begins at 6:30 p.m., the pros play at 8 p.m., and the AAA matchup gets under way at 10 p.m. This evening at the Garden promises to be especially rewarding because it's Police and Firemen Appreciation Night, free energy drinks are handed out, and the first 500 fans get a coupon to one of two gas station chains.
