Parents are going crazy right about now. It's four days after Christmas, which means your kids have been out of school for about a week, and are 90 percent more crazy thanks to a steady diet of cookies, candy canes, chocolate gelt and all those infernal noise-making toys. What's a parent to do -- if you lock them out of the house, they'll just tunnel their way back in. Here's what you do: Get 'em to the Missouri History Museum (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue; 314-746-4599 or www.mohistory.org) for a big day out at the Winter Getaway. At 10: 30 a.m. kids can settle in for a screening of the Don Bluth classic animated film The Land Before Time, with complimentary light snacks. There's also a make-and-take arts activity from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., in which kids make their own mastodon and mammoth masks. Both options are free.
