Get Up in Dem Guts

It's a fact: Humans are fascinated by other humans. Seriously, the boob-tube options other than dramatic forensic science and hospital scenario shows are few and far between, because people are fascinated by the habits and physical intricacies of the most evolved species on Earth — and because we just really want to see other people's guts. It's this fascination that will be more than satisfied when the hi-tech preserved human bodies of BODIES...The Exhibition go on display Saturday, October 2, at the Saint Louis Galleria (South Brentwood Boulevard and Clayton Road, Richmond Heights; www.bodiesstlouis.com). The human remains are saturated with liquid silicone rubber, allowing you to get an eyeful of the most inside parts of your insides. It's the perfect Saturday at the mall; you know, maybe try on a few things, get a giant cookie, and then go peer intently at someone's cardiovascular system. Ticket prices range from $14 to $22, and the exhibit remains open daily through Monday, January 31, 2011.
