How appropriate that Back to the Future is screening at St. Louis Union Station (1820 Market Street)! After all, the 1985 Michael J. Fox movie is a blast from the past, just like the station (a National Historic Landmark), but both are timeless enough that they can certainly be appreciated today. To watch Fox's Marty McFly teach a different generation about how to skateboard and how to rock out — and to introduce this fine family-friendly film and venue to any members of the younger generation you might have around your house — head to the shed and bring along only something comfy to sit on: The screening is free. Viewers should plan to get back in time around 8:30 p.m.; for more information call 314-421-6655 or visit And note: Rain won't stop the screening — it will be moved inside in the event of inclement weather.
