Nobody pokes fun at the foibles and neuroses of the Jews better than the Jews. Second City's Jewsical! The Musical tackles the little stuff (the negotiations that happen on JDate), and the complex (Joseph and Mary, complete with nasal New York accent, going to a marriage counselor because the relationship is not as physical as Joseph would like) with the sort of chutzpah that's a hallmark of Jewish comedy. The 90-minute revue is interspersed with songs and the improv comedy that is Second City's challah and schmaltz. Second City performs Jewsical! The Musical at 2 p.m. as part of the grand opening weekend for the Jewish Community Center's new performing arts venue (2 Millstone Campus Drive, Creve Coeur; 314-272-3140 or www.jccstl.com).
