Maxwell's Restaurant

The pink flamingo on the sign outside Maxwell's Restaurant in Bellville prepares patrons for the interior's loud and fun décor. Located on Main Street near the Tenth Street intersection, Maxwell's features American fare with an Italian influence. The menu features an array of starters, including potato nachos covered in cheddar, bacon and hot peppers, chicken wings and a crab-and-whitefish blend sautéed in garlic butter. Available entrées include a wide selection of chicken, veal and pasta dishes, and a few steaks, such as a smoked beef brisket platter, barbecue chicken, veal Parmesan and spaghetti tossed with pepperoni, topped with cheese and meat sauce, and baked to a bubbling broil. Maxwell's also serves up several sandwiches and thin-crust pizzas with mozzarella cheese, as well as a few desserts such as New Orleans bread pudding with a mixture of fruit, rum and custard served with a warm rum sauce. Maxwell's Restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
