Meet the St. Louis Summer Guide
Jennifer Silverberg

Hola, St. Louis.

It is I, Frankie Slayer the Party Mayor, a.k.a. the Summer Guide. Just back from a week in Cabo that turned into the entire off-season, and I feel great. I heard this past winter was pretty brutal, and there are rumors some of you don't feel up to it anymore. What the hell, y'all? This ain't Game of Thrones, and winter ain't comin'. You gotta get your game face on. Summer is upon us. I seen it already, and it is fantastic. Me and my dog Archie did a little pre-gaming last week, you know, to get the engines warmed up — shit's tight. While we were out and about, we scouted this summer's best drinks, the finest road trips and the most excellent cliff diving for your amusement. I even made you a mix-tape, bro! It's gonna be major, like Wrestlemania 3, only without Hulk Hogan in a Speedo rollin' around in your shiz.

So get up for it. Get into it. Get involved. You don't get a summer vacation anymore, but that doesn't mean you can't steal a long weekend here and there. Steal enough of 'em and you're elected the new Party Mayor. It's a cush job, and I'm lovin' every minute of it.

All week long we're rolling out content from our Summer Guide 2014. In it you'll find all the best ways to enjoy the season in and around St. Louis. Check back here for links to the whole issue as the week progresses or pick it up in print at the red Riverfront Times box nearest you.
