True confession time: When Ms. Day finished the fifth Harry Potter novel (Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix
), she nearly cried. Not because the ending was so sad but because the book was over. And that means she only has one book left until the last one...and after she reads it, what will she do? Now, Ms. Day isn't one to join fantasy clubs, but Harry might drive her to do exactly that and then she'll pretend to fly around on broomsticks, try to travel through fireplaces and attempt to concoct the Veritaserum potion to catch all of her friends lying about making fun of her. It won't be pretty. But instead of going crazy thinking about a Harry Potter-less future, maybe Ms. Day will just go see Harry & the Potters
at 6 p.m. at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (3750 Washington Boulevard; 314-535-4660 or www.contemporarystl.org
). This pair of punk-rock brothers performs songs about JK Rowling's awesome magic series song titles include "Save Ginny Weasley" and "In Which Draco Malfoy Cries Like a Baby" and they perform as year-four Harry and year-seven Harry. There's nothing else to say about this band except that it is brilliant! Oh, and that tickets for the all-ages show cost $5, and the special guest is Draco and the Malfoys.
