My Kid Could Paint That

This Friday, witness local artists beaming with pride as their greatest creations take to the walls. Art by Children of Artists will show just how far the apple falls from the tree, showcasing the work of more than a dozen young artists whose mom and/or pop have already made a mark in the St. Louis art scene. Pieces from Junior and Senior will hang side by side in the AT&T Gallery of Children’s Art cradled within the spacious Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries (3648 Washington Boulevard; 314-533-9900) and will remain on display through Saturday, September 22. The Sheldon is celebrating the debut of Art by Children alongside five other new exhibits with an all-gallery opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Admission is free. For more information and for gallery hours, visit
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays. Starts: Feb. 18. Continues through Sept. 22, 2012
