Parachute and SafetySuit have much in common. Both bands formed in the suburban South — the former in Virginia, the latter in Tulsa, Oklahoma — and each act took off after having songs featured on television. Parachute's songs "She Is Love" and "Under Control" were featured in a national ad campaign for Nivea, while SafetySuit gained recognition after its song "Anywhere but Here" was included on the show Kyle XY. But these young bands have blossomed also because of their relentless work ethic and constant tours with bigger names, such as O.A.R., Kelly Clarkson and 3 Doors Down. Now that the two are teaming up for a headlining tour, Parachute's clean-as-it-gets, piano-driven studio pop should mesh nicely with SafetySuit's slightly gritty modern-rock sound.
