Party People

Johann Strauss' operetta Die Fledermaus revolves around a massive party, and the large amount of lies a group of interconnected people tell one another in order to attend without their significant others accompanying them or knowing they're there. Also, the person throwing the party is only doing so to get revenge on the man who abandoned him in the street after the last drunken party. So, it's a pretty good fit for the college lifestyle. The University of Missouri-St. Louis Opera Theatre presents Die Fledermaus at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday (April 2 and 3) at the Touhill Performing Arts Center (1 University Boulevard at Natural Bridge Road; 314-516-4949 or www.touhill.org). Admission is free.
Tue., April 2; Wed., April 3, 2013
