All right now, turn your head a little to the left and smile. Ears back, tongue out just a smidge more. Snout down. That's perfect! Snap! No, these aren't instructions to make you look crazy at the coffeehouse while you read this item; these are the kinds of things that the photographer will probably be saying at the Support Dogs, Inc. Holiday Open House. See, as part of the daylong affair (from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), families with pets can come in and get their pictures snapped with Santa for just $5. Proceeds from the photo sessions will benefit the nonprofit organization, which provides service dogs to people with disabilities — a most worthy cause, especially during the holiday season. And even if you don't have an animal companion yourself, feel free to come on by and enjoy some complimentary refreshments and make a donation. Support Dogs, Inc. is located at 11645 Lilburn Park Road in Maryland Heights; to learn more about the charity, call 314-997-2325 or visit www.supportdogs.org.
