Prop 8 Protest at Old Courthouse 

In St. Louis, hundreds gathered at the Old Courthouse to protest Proposition 8, the California ballot measure that bans same-sex marriage.
There were many different speakers at the Proposition 8 protest on November 15 in front of the Old Courthouse. Crosby Franklin, a 17-year-old Francis Howell High School student, talks about coming out to her parents.
Two of the (projected) thousand protesters that attended the rally. Gay people and straight "allies" came out to support the cause. It was estimated that a million people protested across the country.

Protester Melissa Frawley who was there to support her gay friends. “It’s about love,” she said, “and I just want to be equal.”
After the speakers ended many people stuck around chanting, “We’re gay! We’re straight! No prop. 8!”
