St. Louis Blues vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

We're past the halfway point in the season has anybody yet figured out who the St. Louis Blues are? Some nights they play like title contenders (a 3-0 pasting of the Penguins), and some nights they get blown out of the rink. The onset of February would be a good time for the team to turn it on and turn it around -- it would certainly help the new regime of head coach Mike Yeo. St. Louis Blues legend Bob Plager, who has been with the team since it was founded, gets his jersey retired tonight in front of a home crowd. The man with the devastating hip check wore the Bluenote for eleven years, and then served as a scout, head coach and team executive; he now works in community relations. His number will be raised to the rafters in a ceremony that starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Scottrade Center (1401 Clark Avenue; www.stlblues.com). After pre-game festivities, the Blues play the Toronto Maple Leafs at 8 p.m. Tickets are $23 to $339.
