Puny Earthling! Look at you, fixating on the minutiae of your meaningless existence, obsessing over shoes and burritos and intercubicle rivalries like an ant that wrestles with a speck of dung. Far overhead, the mighty stars continue to march on eternally through the heavens, ever undaunted by your infinitesimal concerns! Yes, it's time to remind yourself just how insignificant you really are at the monthly Star Party
hosted by the St. Louis Astronomical Society at the Saint Louis Science Center (5050 Oakland Avenue). The astral playin' centers around a 7 p.m. presentation entitled "The Sky Tonight" inside the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, and it's preceded by and followed by (if weather permits) outdoor public telescope-viewing. The free Star Party events continue on the second Friday of every month through October; call 314-289-4453 or see www.slsc.org
for more information.
Second Friday of every month. Starts: Jan. 12. Continues through Oct. 31, 2007
