Streiler's Pub

In the hotbed of Howdershell bars, Streiler's beckons to the common man to come in and sit for a bit with his buddies and some Bud Light. Low lighting, pool tables, and live blues spruce up this easy-going but tough-talkin' bar. Patrons tend to be advanced in years, but that longevity creates a sense of camaraderie that you don't find in larger bars. The crowd is hearty and friendly, and the barmaids -- who aren't afraid to show off their faded tattoos -- are sweet with banter and salty when it's last call. Mostly American beer is served here, and the bar space has the feel of a 1970s brown-and-tan basement get-together after a long day of pouring concrete for the man. Steiler's wouldn't have it any other way.
