Miso on Meramec

Apr 2, 2003 at 4:00 am
Miso on Meramec succeeds on several levels - literally and figuratively. The restaurant offers a storefront entrance with some outdoor seating, as well as an intriguing bi-level basement space that is outfitted as beautifully as the crowd that hangs out there. The real focus is the food, of course, and sushi is a Miso specialty, with a wide selection of traditional sushi and sashimi as well as delightfully unusual items, such as Cajun sushi. As you would expect, there is an emphasis on freshness and presentation, which at Miso means relying on the simple elegance that the food demands. In short, there's nothing fishy (in the pejorative sense) about it.
