Elementary school spelling-bee champs and dictionary lovers unite: Cherokee Street neighborhood outposts Melt and clothier Bespoke host a spring installment of its adult spelling bee competition. This is your chance to weed out the true editors from the spell-check slaves. Standard rules (use it in a sentence, definition, etc.) apply -- and in a linguistic twist, there will be a special round known as "Reverse Spelling Bee." The word is spelled out, and it's up to the contestant to figure out how to say it. What a c-a-c-o-p-h-o-n-y that will be! Twelve contestants will compete for the prize, and signups begin at 7:30 p.m. at Melt (2712 Cherokee Street; www.facebook.com/meltoncherokee). There is no charge to participate or spectate.
