The Biggest Little Beer Fest

Not much says springtime in St. Louis better than drinking beer, eating barbecue and listening to blues music in Forest Park, and on Friday and Saturday (May 3 and 4), St. Louis Microfest offers all that and more. Sample more than 100 craft brews including suds from local breweries Perennial Artisan Ales, 4 Hands Brewing Co., Schlafly Beer, Civil Life Brewing Co., Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, as well as food from Hendricks BBQ, the Dam STL and Steamroller Bagel and Deli. The festival is broken into three sessions; choose from the 7 to 10 p.m. Friday installment, and either the noon to 4 p.m. or the 6 to 10 p.m. evening shift on Saturday. Unlimited beer tastings are set to music by Lunar Levitation, Sean Coray and One Take, and Hazard to Ya Booty at the Shock Top stage, and beer demos, food pairings and educational presentations punctuate the day's festivities. Proceeds from Microfest benefit Lift For Life Gym. Tickets cost $30 to $54 per session. For more information visit www.stlmicrofest.org.
