We last heard from the Pink Spiders back in 2006, when the Nashville power-punk act released the album Teenage Graffiti and was performing its saccharine hit "Little Razorblade" on illuminated risers, as a sea of scantily clad, rollerskate-wearing females circled them. After bringing its brand of Southern debauchery to the masses with tireless touring, the band is finally ready to release Graffiti's follow-up Sweat It Out, which will be out this spring. (Listen to selected tracks at myspace.com/thepinkspiders.) While Sweat It Out may not have a flashy video to promote it yet, songs like the arena-ready rocker "Gimme Chemicals" and instantly infectious, Weezer-worthy anthem "Sleeping on the Floor" prove how much the band's songwriting — and addictions — have grown over the past two years.
