It's impossible to overstate the importance of the Bones Brigade to modern skateboarding. Backed by an impeccable pedigree (team manager Stacy Peralta was Stacy Peralta, of the feared Dogtown Z-Boys), presented to the public through the visionary aesthetic sense of Craig Stecyk III and populated by the finest vert, mini-ramp and all-around skaters to be found, the Bones Brigade defined skateboarding for the '80s. Peralta has finally made a documentary on the legendary team he shaped and guided through the half-pipes of the world, and it makes its St. Louis debut tonight at 9:30 p.m. at the Landmark Tivoli Theatre (6530 Delmar Boulevard, University City; www.cinemastlouis.org). Bones Brigade: An Autobiography features interviews with all the original skaters -- Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain, Steve Caballero, Tommy Guerrero and Mike McGill -- as well as classic footage of the team as they blew minds from coast to coast. Tickets are $10 to $12.
