You Can't Kill the Boogeyman

This year why not let the neighbors contend with the trick-or-treaters and carve out a little time for yourself to celebrate All Hallows' Eve with everyone's favorite William Shatner-masked serial killer, Michael Myers? Not only is John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic Halloween credited with with kickstarting the American slasher-movie craze, it launched the careers of Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, and cult actress P.J. Soles, who would soon go from being stalked by Mr. Myers to stalking Joey and the Ramones as fangirl Riff Randell in Rock 'n' Roll High School. Halloween turns 35 this year, and on this, its special evening, B&B Wildwood 10 Theater (16820 Main Street, Wildwood; www.bbtheatres.com) screens the seasonal classic at 7 p.m. Even better, admission is $5 so you'll have plenty of money for candy.
