Young at Heart

Did no one invite you to any of the radio, TV or LAN parties going on this week? Show them all by attending a book party. The second Tuesday of every month, the Young Literati of the St. Louis Public Library Foundation get loose with a book swap, and you can consider this your official invitation. Tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. the Young Literati Young Adult Book Swap takes place at the Schlafly Tap Room (2100 Locust Street; 314-539-0359 or www.schlafly.com). Come confess your undying fandom of adolescent favorites, or consider this your safe place to express curiosity about the fortunes of Katniss and Peeta or Edward and Bella. Let the Young Literati be your social network for discovering new worlds with names such as Terabithia, Prydain or Tulsa (S.E. Hinton fans represent). The event is free, but bring a book to swap (Young Adult or not) and legal tender for a beer or two.
