Meet the OnlyFans Creator who Wants Her Subscribers to Unsubscribe

When you think of OnlyFans, you don’t generally think of someone lovingly reading their subscribers a bedtime story, but that’s precisely what Flora the Yogi does. “I really love it because it’s such a relaxing time together. Reading them the bedtime stories is actually one of my favorite things to do live on my OnlyFans just because it’s so wholesome and just so cute.” Flora’s page is a haven for people who are looking for a place to relax, find a little affirmation and connection, but it wasn’t always that way.

Flora used to run your standard explicit OnlyFans page as Kyla, a model who created faceless content. She said that at first she found the work empowering, but she eventually hit burnout. “I initially started my only fans in 2020 but I was only doing it here and there so kind of part-time. It wasn’t until about 2022 that I got really serious about my account and doing it full-time. So I’d say I was creating explicit content full-time for about two years. However, it was definitely in the last year to six months of that time that I really started to feel burned out and like I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing anymore.”

As she began to burn out, she noticed she wasn’t the only one who needed a change. As she began to explore other options (hi, she pursued yoga teacher training, proving once again that OnlyFans creators are stronger than the rest of us) she realized that many of her subscribers were also burned out, and looking for a quick dopamine hit to forget about their problems for a while. “Over time I started making the connection that they’re really just looking for the quick dopamine hit. It’s a distraction from everyday life and the things that people are going through.” She also accurately clocked that porn is a strong draw for people who are going through it. “Porn in general has a unique way of making people feel something positive, especially if that person lives a life that they feel is largely a negative experience. But then once that positive experience is over, in my opinion, the negative feelings come back even stronger than before.”

So what did Flora decide to do about it? Meet people where they’re at. She doesn’t do a ton of explicit content now, but she has a unique approach to the naughty content that she does have available. “I make it a point to create content that doesn’t induce that feeling of ‘post nut clarity’. I think a lot of that stems from reminding them to stay present in their entire bodies while engaging in pleasure activities but also just giving space at the end to remind them to breathe and telling them that it’s okay for them to feel pleasure and that is a very normal part of being a human. I’ve had lots of people tell me that they don’t feel that sense of shame or regret after watching my content.” Not only that, but she transitioned into creating content that helps her subscribers slowly learn to stay in their brain and body while feeling all the things. Says Flora, “While some of my content is sensual in nature, a lot of it isn’t. I really show up on my page as my whole self and encourage my fans to do the same. So on my page you can see anything from yoga class live streams, to co-regulation videos, to sensual guided pleasure videos.”

What is unique about Flora (aside from the fact that she’s built a platform for co-regulation and groundedness in a place that is usually everyone’s favorite digital spice cabinet) is that even her sensual content is designed to help the viewer stay present in their brain and body. “even in my sexual in nature content, I’m guiding them towards connecting with their body using techniques I know from yoga like breathwork, body scans, and mindful movement.” She even offers an additional service where users can connect more closely with her, and take the deep personal work to another level. “I also offer deeper experiences like my Close Friends Club, where we connect and discuss how I can help them evolve and grow and find more joy and peace in their life. We have real conversations about the things in their life that they feel are weighing them down, and I offer them a safe space to vent as well as tangible practices that they can that they can use often. I get messages every day about how I’ve helped people live a more positive and connected life.”

Does Flora get sad when a subscriber is ready to unsubscribe? Well, a little. “I really develop a connection with my fans so I can’t lie and say that I’m not a little sad to see them go. But overall I want what’s best for them and it makes me so happy to know that they are at a place that they feel they don’t need the quick dopamine and the satisfaction of this site. It’s so nice to know that I’ve helped them find peace and happiness in their real everyday life, their bodies, and the people around them.” Like any good teacher, she’s sad to see her students go, but ultimately wants them to be able to function without her.

When asked what she wants other creators experiencing burnout to know, Flora says, “As long as you’re being authentic to yourself you can create whatever type of content you want and your people will find you.” And for Flora, as long as there are subscribers tuning in for a bedtime reading of Wind in the Willows, she’ll be showing up for the people who found her.
