15 New Year's Parties in St. Louis to Satisfy Every Urge

What are you doing New Year's Eve? Whether you're into burlesque or love live music, whether you plan to party all night or want an excuse to cut out early, this year has something for everyone.

Just to keep things simple, we've chosen 10 of the night's top parties and sorted them by who they'll appeal to most. But this list is by no means conclusive. For that, pick up this week's print edition. It'll be on newsstands tomorrow with nearly three dozen options. You have no excuse not to find a party!


1. For culture lovers: BMO Private Bank New Year's Eve Celebration 
David Robertson and the Symphony always welcome the new year with a special performance full of magic and surprise guests. Who will show up this year? You'll have to attend to find out. For truly big-time spenders, a special package for two at the Chase Park Plaza ($339) includes ticket to the show, one bedroom suite, bottle of Champagne and breakfast for two. 2. For Bollywood fans: 2016 Bollywood NYE
Enter the new year Bollywood style with a DJ spinning Bollywood, Bhangra and chart-busters, and a specially-designed FX countdown to 2016. Ring in the new year at this masquerade ball-themed party that includes a giant screen showing the Times Square countdown, confetti cannon at midnight and live entertainment at participating establishments. 4. For those who prefer New Orleans: Broadway Oyster Bar
The Funky Butt Brass Band heralds 2016 with NOLA-style brass, funk and soul. All three spaces will be open and heated.

5. For those wanting to make an early night of it: Irish New Year's Eve Toast
The new year arrives in Ireland at 6 p.m. our time, so come celebrate on Irish time. We'll have live Irish music, $4 Irish beers and select whiskies and a countdown at 6 p.m. with bubbly toast. It's a family-friendly party, so bring the kids.

Get ready for one of the most unique New Year's Eve celebrations the area has ever seen, NYE 3D. The Nightclub at Ameristar Casino is transformed into a 3-D wonderland. There will be 3-D video mapping DJ booths, holograms, 3-D projections and a 3-D photo booth. Each guest receives a custom pair of 3-D glasses upon arrival. FTampa, Brazil's no. 1 DJ, makes his St. Louis debut as headliner.
