After Turkey? Beef. AAHHH!

The Leavenworth Players mean to change your mind about dinner theater — whatever your opinion is — with two vastly different productions at Bevo Mill (4749 Gravois Avenue). First up is the meat and potatoes of dinner theater, if you will: Beefing with the Wellingtons, a dysfunctional family comedy that finds the Wellington siblings clamoring for the presidency of the family business after Daddy's unfortunate early demise. If that isn't your cup of tea (tea is included, incidentally), try Murder at the Hollywood Premiere or Lights, Camera, Action, AAHHH! wherein a film star is killed and you, gentle audience member, will assist the characters as they attempt to unmask the villain. You'll also enjoy a mini-screening of The Wild Brunch, the movie the cast was filming at the time of the star's murder. Beefing kicks off its run on Friday, November 23; AAHHH! begins on Friday, November 30, and then the two shows alternate through the end of December. Tickets are $48, but that gets you more than family-friendly entertainment — it buys you an entire meal (pork tenderloin, sauerbraten with spaetzle and so on) and an adult beverage of your choice. Seating begins at 6 p.m.; call 314-481-2626 to reserve space, and visit for more information.
Fridays; Mon., Dec. 31, 6 p.m. Starts: Nov. 23. Continues through Dec. 28, 2007
