The falsehood of the art exhibition is that it creates the impression that the artist has finished something -- the work is never finished. It may be on the wall or under glass, but for the artist the work is a process, not a goal reached or a mission accomplished. Something Happened, the new exhibition at the Luminary Center for the Arts (4900 Reber Place; www.theluminaryarts.com), provides a closer look at this process. The Luminary’s artists-in-residence (Sarrita Hunn, Stephen Hoskins, Amy Reidel and several others) display work that came about through experimentation during the past year -- all of the work are points along the ray of the artist’s life, not a right angle turn. Something Happened opens with a free public reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, February 4. The exhibit remains up through Friday, March 11, and the gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday.
