Tonight at 7:30, Dan Savage brings the compassionate, confrontational stylings of his Savage Love Live tour to the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus (1 University Boulevard; 314-516-4949 or www.touhill.org). His latest book, American Savage, along with the It Gets Better Project (which he and his husband started to provide support and encouragement to vulnerable LGBT youth), have put him on the short-list of opinion shapers who matter today. An evening with Savage comes complete with "insights, slights and fights on faith, sex, love and politics," wrapped up in a good-humored and challenging discussion.
