As the technology behind CGI gets better, the ancient world becomes a more fascinating place for dinosaur fans. Archaeologists uncover more data, those data are fed into the computer modeling programs, and suddenly the Jurassic period and its amazing denizens are alive on the screen. When the screen in question is a four-story-high OMNIMAX screen with attendant 15,000-watt sound system, those beasties are life-size and twice as loud. Take a trip back to the primal oceans of the Mesozoic era, when Liopleurodon and Shonisaurus swam freely, with the new IMAX film Sea Rex: Journey to a Prehistoric World. You'll feel like you're right in the water with these marine reptiles, only you won't get wet — or swallowed. Sea Rex plays at the Saint Louis Science Center OMNIMAX Theater's (5050 Oakland Avenue; 314-289-4424 or daily through Thursday, June 2. Admission is $8 to $9.
