Autumnal Awesome

For generations upon generations, humans have gathered together and celebrated the harvest before hunkering down for the winter -- and who are we to buck this delightful trend? At Sauce Magazine's Harvest Festival, held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Laumeier Sculpture Park (12580 Rott Road, Sunset Hills; 314-615-5278 or www.laumeiersculpturepark.org), we shall meet and enjoy the company of our neighbors, all before layers of scarves, hats, coats and other wintertime accoutrements make us completely indistinguishable from one another. Of course, the fest will feature a farmers' market, as well as a craft fair, and to further the fellowship vibe, bluegrass music will delight our ears, and dishes from local eateries -- including pulled pork from Pappy's Smokehouse, parmesan-sage french fries from Eleven Eleven Mississippi and blueberry gooey butter cake from Alumni Saint Louis -- will pleasantly fill our bellies. Admission to the fest costs $10; check out www.saucemagazine.com/harvestfestival for more information.
