Bigger. Better. Prouder.

St. Louis PrideFest is on the move once again, bringing the summer's biggest party -- wait for it -- downtown this year. From noon to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday (June 29 and 30), the LGBTA community lights it up and sets it off at Soldiers' Memorial (Fourteenth and Chestnut streets; It's a new location, but all your favorites are here. There are musical guests (Charis Women's Chorus, the Gateway Men's Chorus, Eryn Woods and Taylor Dayne), the parade (11 a.m. Sunday at Eighth and Market streets) and the moving commitment ceremony (in the City Hall Rotunda). Plus, in keeping with this year's theme of "Celebrate the Past to Awaken the Future," there are new surprises such as the Athletes Village, which will showcase our town's thriving LGBT sports community, and an expanded children's area with arts & crafts activities, musical guests and a bounce house and water slide. Admission is free.
