The last time the
St. Louis Cardinals played the Arizona Diamondbacks, it was at the D-backs home opener. The Cards lost that three game series, but put up the same number of runs as the Snakes in those three games (small sample size warning). Portent of the rest of the season, eh? At the time of this writing, the Cards sit atop the National League and the entire MLB kingdom with the best record and the greatest run differential (a masterful +57). The two teams meet again this Monday through Thursday (June 3 through 6) for a four-game set at Busch Stadium (Broadway and Poplar Street; 314-345-9000 or
www.stlcardinals.com). Will the Cards pile up even more runs on route to a four-game sweep? One can only hope. Game time is 7:15 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, with Thursday's game starting at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $250.80 on Monday and Thursday, and $4 to $250.80 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
