Jeff Daniels is a triple threat: an actor, musician and, it so happens, a playwright to boot. Solid and reliable in nearly every aspect of entertainment he takes on, Daniels is the type of good artist whose quiet craftsmanship take him on a route under most radars. His drama Boom Town, presented by West End Players Guild, is about a married couple who run a small business in a small town. Their marriage and equilibrium are rocked when a banker attracts the attentions of the wife, and her husband finds out. This type of dead-sober material demonstrates Daniels' impressive creative range.
