Car Crazy

In these tough economic times, dads who might have been longing to, ah, shall we say, reclaim their youth through horsepower and precision steering are shying away from such extravagant purchases in favor of buckling down and preserving retirement funds. And wisely so. But that doesn't mean Dad's sports-car jones has subsided. So why not help him live a little — if only vicariously — at the Kemp Auto Museum (16955 Chesterfield Airport Road, Chesterfield). From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the museum hosts the second annual Father's Day Automobile Show, which showcases the museum's collection of Mercedes Benz vehicles along with vintage and rare cars owned by local collectors. In addition to the car show, hot dogs and drinks will be sold, and kids can make a craft. Admission to the Kemp is free for fathers and their children and $5 for other adults.
