Christmas Eve Has Found You

How every child really wants to spend Christmas Eve has nothing to do with singing carols to elderly neighbors, watching Mom and Aunt Thelma get tipsy while frosting cookies or being chased away from where the presents are hidden. But it has everything to do with visiting Santa Claus; rushing home to put out cookies, milk and carrots (for the reindeer, of course); and lying down under the Christmas tree to wait. So it's a good thing that Santa's House, which is located downtown on the square in Belleville, Illinois (IL-159 and Main Street), is open on Sunday, December 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visits with Santa are free, but the must-have photos range from $7 to $45 (cash or check only). Visit www.bellevillesantahouse.com for more information, including details about handicapped accessibility, staying warm while waiting in line, parking, and taking dog and cat photos (!) with Santa.
