Riverfront Times tips the proverbial cap to St. Louis' creative forces at Artopia, a celebration of the local arts community. At this party four individual artists — working in the fields of performing arts, visual arts, film/video/media and literary arts — will be recognized as winners of RFT's first MasterMind Awards, and each artist will receive $2,500. But they're not going to be the only ones having a good time: At Artopia party people will find fire performers, cultural dancers and poetry slammers, all at the ready to entertain; oodles of art will be around for the ogling; and Mo & Dawn (pictured), plus DJs Mahf and Aflex, will keep the vibe festive. The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the St. Louis Artists' Guild (2 Oak Knoll Park, Clayton). Admission is $20, which includes food, drinks and all of the above live entertainment.
