Twenty-six years is a long time in the comic-book biz, Batman has had a kid, died, come back to life, seen his kid die and had a former dead sidekick come back to life while Gotham crumbled around his pointy ears in that span. And all of those "this changes everything" moments in dumb ol' Batman's life are celebrated weekly at Star Clipper (6392 Delmar Boulevard, University City; 314-725-9110 or www.starclipper.com). The comic-book and pop-culture shop celebrates its anniversary today with a host of free events on Star Clipper Day. Jim Ousley, Oscar Madrid and Ben Sawyer -- the guys behind the forthcoming Rough & Tumble graphic novel -- will be sketching scenes and telling jokes from noon to 5 p.m. Star Clipper's extremely challenging four-round trivia contest runs from 3 to 5 p.m., with prizes for the winner of each round and a grand prize given to the ultimate winner. Then at 7 p.m. comes live music from Robot DJ 6 and the triumphant return of nerdcore rapper Tribe One. Admission is free, but there is a $5 suggested donation to help cover Tribe One's costs (nerdcorin' ain't easy).
