Artcrank STL, cyclists advocate the two-wheeled lifestyle through quieter means — their art. Thirty-four local artists have created bicycle-themed posters that tout the health, ecological and fun-time benefits of biking. Artcrank STL opens with a free public reception at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Atomic Cowboy (4140 Manchester Avenue;
www.artcrank.com) that also serves as the kickoff of this year's Tour de Grove. The work remains up through Saturday, May 14. Admission is free, and all posters are bargain priced at $30 each — that's just about seven gallons of gas, you know.
