Cureiosity Kills No One

CUREiosity, the annual benefit for the Siteman Cancer Center, fetes the hard-working doctors who are on the front lines fighting the disease every day. These people may someday save the life of you or someone you love — maybe you should bank some good karma now and come join the party, eh? This year's honorary event chair is Mike Shannon, so you know it's going to be a good time, because it's always a good time when Mike Shannon's around. The actual party is from 7 to 10 p.m. at Lumen (2201 Locust Street; www.cureiositystl.org), and it features access to the open bar, complimentary desserts, live performers and a VIP lounge — this all sets you back $100, but c'mon, it's for a good cause. If you're more of a nighthawk than an early bird, you can hit up the CUREiosity after-party from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. (also at Lumen) for a mere $40, and you can still reap the benefits of the free desserts and open bar.
