Dancin' and Drinkin'

Does your Friday-night routine have you in a rut? Friday should find you shedding the familiar, and seeking stimulating conversations and inspiring visuals, as well as much better beverages. The aTrek Dance Collective's Cocktails & Choreography has got you covered this evening at the Centene Center for the Arts (3547 Olive Street in the fourth-floor Rialto Ballroom). Enjoy cocktails and mingle with the dancers at 7 p.m. Then prepare to be mesmerized by Pickled Eggs and a Shirley Temple, dancer/choreographer Germaul Barnes' new solo piece based on his professional debut at age eight, followed by a peek at Oma Nicole Graas' work-in-progress, which is based on the Jonathan Franzen novel The Corrections. Afterward, enjoy more cocktails, and debate which performance moved you more and/or which dancer(s) had the best buttocks.
