In honor of Krystina Castella and Terry Lee Stone's Booze Cakes: Confections Spiked with Spirits, Wine and Beer cookbook and Sarah Billingsley and Amy Treadwell's Whoopie Pies: Dozens of Mix 'em, Match 'em, Eat 'em Up Recipes book, the shop has solicited entries for its Booze Cakes and Whoopie Pies Contest — and you can help judge! Just come by the bookstore at 2 p.m. for the tasting and the voting, and have a look at these cookbooks if you'd like to make drunken desserts and/or little cake sandwiches at home. (Who wouldn't?)
