Normal rules of physics and gravity do not seem to apply to the Golden Dragon Acrobats. Bodies twist in painful contortions to create beautiful patterns; cups and bowls nest perfectly in towering columns on the heads and torsos of these pretzeled people; swarms of non-aerodynamic objects leap through the air in graceful gyres — is it magic? The acrobats claim it's merely practice and skill, but that seems unlikely. Magic is the rational explanation for these amazing feats. Skeptics and believers alike are invited to witness the phenomenal Golden Dragon Acrobats at 8 p.m. at the Florissant Civic Center (Parker Road and Waterford Drive, Florissant; 314-921-5678 or www.florissantfinearts.com). Tickets are $35 to $27.
