First Friday: Game of Thrones

Despite the spring sunshine, winter is coming to the St. Louis Science Center's First Friday tonight from 6 p.m. to midnight. The evening is packed with Game of Thrones-themed programming, such as weaponry demonstrations from the St. Louis Association of Historical European Martial Arts, cosplay, trivia and Game of Thrones bingo. Washington University history professor Dr. Alex Dube presents a free lecture, "Power and Violence in the World of Westeros," at 8:30 p.m. The James S. McDonnell Planetarium (5050 Oakland Avenue; 314-289-4400 or www.slsc.org) is the kingdom to visit for star shows and episodes of The Legend of the Seeker, and Willow screens at 10 p.m. Admission is free.
