Last year St. Louis got its first fringe festival, St. Lou Fringe, thanks to the persistence, hard work and imagination of Saint Louis University grad Em Piro. The festival is back for a sophomore year, slated to unfold Thursday, June 20, through Monday, June 24, and tonight Piro offers a glimpse into what festivalgoers can expect at Fringe Tease. At the event, hosted at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (3229 Washington Avenue), Fringe Fest organizers announce the 2013 lineup, including one-minute introductions and demonstrations by the 30 local and national acts selected to participate. Following the official announcements, guests can mingle with Fringe performers and staff, and sip one of the brewery's many quality beers. This event is free and open to the public.
