I was walking the dog last night when I came across the spectacle below at the corner of Sutton and Flora avenues in Maplewood. The crew from Up in the Air is preparing to shoot a winter scene there later this week.
This morning I returned to ask a few questions. Here's the deal...
Supposedly GC himself is scheduled to film at the Maplewood United Methodist Church on Thursday or Friday. A church volunteer tells me that Clooney is expected to get out of a limousine and make his way inside the church for a wedding scene. The shoot has Clooney's character attending the marriage of his brother in the movie.
Apparently the script calls for a winter scene. Yesterday the film crew covered nearby lawns with white sheets.
They've also deposited mounds of dirt along the street curb. The dirt will later be spraypainted white to make it look like snow.
