Thirty years ago, Georges DuBoeuf pioneered the Beaujolais Nouveau wine market in America. This young wine, the first pressing of grapes harvested in August, celebrates the passion and vitality of youth -- both of the wine and of the drinker. Every year on the third Thursday in November, Beaujolais Nouveau is made available to the public. That's tonight, in case you don't have your calendar handy. In honor of Georges DuBoeuf's audacious young wine, 2720 Cherokee hosts a Beaujolais Nouveau Magic party from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and in addition to complimentary Beaujolais Nouveau and light bites, you'll enjoy a live art show by Jennifer Hayes, a DJ set from Anthony Hann and a surprise magic show. All you need to do to attend is email [email protected] This is a 21-and-older event.
