Get Connected

Connect With, the young professionals collaborative of St. Louis, works to keep young St. Louisans from becoming young New Yorkers or young Chicagoans by putting them in touch with cultural, professional and community-service organizations that exist right here. The idea is to engage the next generation in the social fabric of the city, to put them in contact with the organizations and individuals that keep St. Louis great so that they realize the many opportunities that are available to motivated St. Louisans. To this end, Connect With arranges social gatherings that bring together members and non-members alike in hopes of finding some good fits. From 5:30 to 11 p.m. tonight at Black Label Gallery (758 South Fourth Street; www.connectwithstlouis.com) is your chance to Connect with ... the Arts. Your $10 to $15 admission fee garners you drink tickets and appetizers, as well as performances by members of Circus Flora, living-history actors from the Missouri History Museum, and interactive art stations courtesy of the Saint Louis Art Museum and Missouri Botanical Garden. These activities cease at 8 p.m., but there's plenty of music, dancing and mingling to fill out the rest of your evening.
