Get Lost

Get ready, '80s-loving vampire fans — the universe just might have given us the best Halloween gift yet. No, we're not talking about a plastic pumpkin full of good candy and fake teeth, though that would be pretty sweet. Think bigger. Much bigger. And cooler, too. Think The Lost Boys. During the Contamination Halloween Horror Show at the Firebird (2706 Olive Street; 314-535-0353), you can watch the vampiric flick with friends and drinks, which in and of itself would make for a fairly fun night. But that's not all that's happening this evening. From 6 to 8 p.m., the screening event features a photo session with stars from the movie! Brooke McCarter and Billy Wirth, Paul and Dwayne, respectively, along with musician G Tom Mac (he wrote the movie's theme song, "Cry Little Sister"), will all pose for pics and sign autographs. After that, folks in the audience can ask questions of the boys, like, "What were the Coreys like?" and "How boss was it to work with Jack Bauer?" and whatever else it is you all want to know. Post-Q&A The Lost Boys is screened — it will run until 10:30 p.m. or so — and following that is a concert by McCarter and G Tom Mac to get folks really in the mood for the midnight costume contest, a perfect time to test out your ensemble before the big, big day and also don some real vampire gear (sorry, Twihards). VIP admission to this spooktacular event costs $55, which includes autographs; visit www.con-tamination.com for more information and to make a purchase.
